The Indian Thyroid Society (ITS) in association with American Thyroid Association (ATA) is conducting conference ATA-ITSCON 2019 at Bengaluru from 17th -19th May 2019. Venue: Taj West End, Bengaluru.

The ATA-ITSCON 2019 is designed to help clinicians to translate advances, evidence, and guidelines into patient care. The conference is designed with multiple learning formats that include workshops, symposia, lectures, clinical case seminars, debates, and interactive panel discussions, to allow participants to optimally enhance their learning. The ATA-ITSCON 2019, will provide a platform for scientists from Asia & India to present there scientific papers as both oral and poster presentations. Prof. Elizabeth Pearce- President, American Thyroid Association, along with Prof. Charles H Emerson,  Immediate past president ATA, Prof. Martha Zeiger, The President-Elect of the ATA, and Prof. Joel Ehrenkranz are the esteemed team of foreign faculty invited for the conference. The national faculty will include senior opinion leaders with rich experience in thyroid disease management. Other international faculty include professors from Vietnam, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Best of the Indian faculty will be at the conference.

On Friday the 17th May 2019 morning - Live Thyroid surgery workshop at Columbia Asia Hospital, Hebbal, Bengaluru.

On 17th May 2019 morning - Symposia on Thyroid and Pregnancy.

On 17th May 2019 afternoon - Symposia on Thyroid for Physicians will follow.

On 17th May 2019 evening during the inauguration there are two orations, ATA-Presidential Oration & ITS Presidential Oration.

On 18th & 19th May 2019 (Saturday & Sunday) the Scientific Program includes oration, plenary talks, symposia, controversies, debate  & case discussions on various thyroid disorders & thyroid cancer.

An Interactive session of case discussion will be part of the conference.

Abstracts and Oral Presentation:

ATA-ITSCON 2019 calls for oral papers and abstracts of original work done in the field of Thyroidology.

Guidelines for submitting abstracts for poster/oral presentations:

  1. The abstracts should be sent to the email:
  2. Last date to receive abstracts is 5-05-2019
  3. Selected poster/oral presentation will be communicated to the corresponding author by email on or before 10 May 2019.
  4. The abstract must be limited to 300 words and it should mention the title,objective,methods, results  and conclusion. Abstract must be typed single space in English using Ariel and Font size 10
  5. Posters shall be displayed on Saturday,18th May between 10 am and 4pm and 19thMay from 10AM to 1PM
  6. Abstracts selected for oral communication shall be intimated regarding date and time of presentation.
  7. Papers selected for poster/oral communication shall receive complimentary registration for the first author or one who is presenting the poster/paper.
  8. The best two posters and oral presentations will receive a certificate and a prize.
  9. If the Abstract is accepted, it is necessary for the presenting author to register as Delegate for the conference.
  10. Material presented in Abstracts should not violate any copyright laws

Dear Colleagues,

There has been an exponential increase in disorders related to endocrine system in India when compared to world wide data. Advancement in medical technology has made it possible to detect diseases such as diabetes, metabolic syndrome, thyroid problems, polycystic ovarian syndrome and obesity related health problems. Thyroid Dysfunctions are the most common endocrine disorders with susbstantial overlap with Diabetes, Pregnancy, Osteoporosis and several other co-morbidities. They are associated with significant morbidity and mortality.

AACE India Chapter in association with Association of Physicians of India, MEND Update & Indian Thyroid Society (ITS) is conducting a National symposium on endocrine disorders to increase awareness about thyroid diseases, its associated complications and association with various co-morbidities and conditions. The Program will be held on 1st and 2nd September, 2018 at Grand Hyatt, Mumbai. The conference will be in field of endocrinology with latest updates and research in endocrinology with focus on thyroid disorders.
